Hi, welcome to SI.

I only read your initial post, but what screams at me is you need to see a lawyer or three immediately!

Your wife might take your child out of state or out of the country.

Please be vigilant!

Echo what others have said, all I read was Lawyer, take child out of country. Silence is because plans have been ruined and new ones are being formulated or meeting with a lawyer.

Next time you meet meet I'm a public place or with a lawyer present

"vacation with a girlfriend and came back and wanted to try again"

Dude, she went to be with him. But it didn’t go as planned.

So now she’s back, licking her wounds, planning her next moves, keeping you on the string just in case.

She’s gone, gone, gone and she’s not coming back.

Best wishes.

It’s never too late to live happily ever after

Very interesting thread.

I just want to point out a couple of things:

...Diaries... are not absolute truths; they involve a lot of imagination and fantasy. I've been there... However, Dantest, take legal precautions regarding your son's possible expatriation.

I recommend, as Formerpeopleperson already did, that you read "Women´s Infidelity: Living in Limbo (Parts I and II)" by Michelle Langley.

Don't feel pressured to make an urgent decision between D or R; there's a third option, just as valid as the others: don't make any decision, wait and see how things develop. But maintain your dignity. Use the 180-degree tactic: indifference.

Seek help to vent, both professional (CI and medical) and from family and friends (including SI).

Patience and good luck; you're not alone.
